Class of 2024 TTC Youth Scholarship Awardees!

Updated: Jul 15

Tri-Town Council is happy to share the 3 TTC Youth Scholarship award recipients from the Class of 2024:  Boxford’s Harrison DeGeorge, Middleton’s Natalie Donabedian and Topsfield’s Lily Podgurski. Award recipients demonstrate healthy decision making, community service and have worked directly with Tri-Town Council during their high school years as a youth volunteer, mentor or program participant. Funded annually via the premium graduation seating and parking raffle for senior families and administered through Masconomet’s Regional Scholarship Foundation, one graduate from Boxford, Middleton and Topsfield each receive a $500 scholarship.

Harrison DeGeorge served as a mentor leader during TTC’s Boys4Boys program held at Masconomet, connecting with younger boys through conversation, activities and games.  He is headed to Bryant University in the fall to study accounting and finance.

Inspired by Mahatma Ghandi's sentiment, "the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others," Natalie Donabedian served as a mentor leader in TTC’s Girls4Girls mentoring program based at each Tri-Town elementary school. Mentor and mentee pairs forge a bond over the course of the year-long program facilitated by elementary school teacher partners. Natalie plans to attend the College of Charleston to study business.

Lily Podgurski participated in TTC’s virtual tutoring program, supporting a local elementary aged youth in math.  Virtual high school tutors, trained by TTC staff and professional partners, meet regularly over Zoom and provide instruction, support and encouragement.  Lily plans to study nursing at Endicott College in the fall.

Congratulations to the scholarship recipients and the Class of 2024!
